About Dana Partin
Meet Dana Partin:
Dana Partin graduated from Clemson University with a BA in Psychology and continued her education at The Citadel obtaining a Master of Education in School Counseling. During her 16-year school counseling career, Dana pursued and achieved National Board Certification, qualifying her as a provider of the highest standards of practice for schools and students having met stringent education, examination, supervision, experience, and ethical requirements in school counseling. She then furthered her education by completing additional coursework through Butler University, earning the Licenced Mental Health Certification.
Dana has always had a heart for college and career planning and earned an award from the South Carolina Department of Higher Education for excellent programming. While working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of capacities, Dana skillfully provided developmentally appropriate consulting and guidance. Since transitioning to independent education consulting (IEC), Dana has personally assisted more than one hundred students in planning for healthy achievement throughout high school. In addition, Dana has helped them discover college major and career pathways, and successfully gain acceptance to a wide range of colleges including Ivy League schools. Although most of our clients are pursuing traditional college pathways, Dana has also provided guidance for young people pursuing vocational careers. Interested in community involvement, especially as it pertains to our youth, Dana is a Columbus North Bull Dog Booster Club board member and a contributor to the Columbus Young Professionals group. Married with 2 daughters (and a dog), Dana has a wide range of interests, is curious and inquisitive, values life-long learning, actually enjoys the immense and ongoing professional development associated with our career, and especially loves creating relationships with others — a true people person.
